I think you can pick holes in most of these (bar Palace Pier), and I think Pogo is an interesting ew angle. He sits on a mark of 112, which is only 5lbs below the 2nd top rated in this (Lope Y Fernandez). He's back at a mile for the first time since he readily dispatched of 110 rated Urban Icon by 5 lengths at Goodwood. He did very little wrong last season in truth, and given 3 of his 5 wins have come over 1m you have to think this is his trip. It might not quite be his ground, especially with any more rain but he has placed twice on soft, and won on good to soft, so I'm happy to take that on faith a little bit here despite forecast rain for tomorrow. He won on seasonal return, posting an RPR of 115, just 1 point shy of his best, so he looks in good heart for a stab at this. He's drawn stands side with stalls in the centre, so if he can grab the rail like he did at Windsor that could help his chances as it seemed to light him up there.
