This Gosden filly brings in form from an interesting race, and returns to the scene of that here. She didn't get away at all well on debut, so it was somewhat surprising that she worked herself into contention quite early in the straight. Had she got away better she may have won that with a bit more authority. She beat Sea Karats, who has gone on to run well behind Mystery Angel, so that's perhaps a decent enough standard to get involved here. Sea Empress created an impression on debut ahead of Teona is well fancied enough for the Oaks. She hasn't done a huge amount for that form since having not won as expected next time out, although that form does hold the selection on a line through Mystery Angel in theory. I just think if she gets away better Gloria Mundi will be well in the mix. The way she toughed it out was impressive for a debutant, even if it was a blanket finish.
