Before a ball was kicked in the first leg of the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League Round of 16, this tie between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid was billed as the best from the lot and the first leg did not disappoint.
With superstars of the game including Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Gareth Bale, Kylian Mbappe, Sergio Ramos and Edinson Cavani on show, we are going to be in for a thrilling night of football when the match takes place on Tuesday 6th March.
Are Real Madrid capable of holding on to their 3-1 lead from the first leg in Madrid or will PSG come back to snatch the tie away from the defending champions? We have a great night of football in store at the Parc des Princes.
1. Paris Saint-Germain vs Real Betting Odds
This tie is tantalisingly poised following the first leg and Real Madrid know they can afford to lose this match by a single goal and still progress to the quarter-finals. Having a two goal lead means although Real Madrid may not be favourites to win the match at 3.30 with Bet365, they are the favourites to qualify at 1.33.
PSG have a tremendous record at home this season and they have won each of their 17 matches in all competitions prior to the double header with Marseille. So, despite coming into this match on the back of a defeat in the first leg, PSG will remain confident of winning the game.
The bookmakers also believe the home side will triumph in this match and PSG can be backed at 2.00 to win the match.
However, they will need to win by at least 2 clear goals and hope Real Madrid do not score more than one away goal to have any chance of making it into the quarter-final of the tournament. PSG are 3.25 to qualify for the next round of the Champions League.
2. PSG vs Real Madrid Predictions
PSG have no choice but to attack and try and score the goals they need to not only win the match but qualify. This should lead to an open match and we could see plenty of goal mouth action. PSG are the favourites to win the match but expect to see Real Madrid get on the scoresheet.
PSG to win and both teams to score is 2.90 with Ladbrokes.
A one goal win is no good for PSG and if they are to continue their charge for a quadruple this season, they must win by 2 goals and if they are to do so without the need for extra-time, it will need to be without conceding a goal.
PSG to win 2-0 is 17.00 at William Hill.
Whichever way the result goes, we are going to be treated to a great game, with plenty of attacking football on show and both teams score plus over 2.5 goals is on offer at 1.36 with William Hill.
3. Team News
The biggest injury concern for PSG at the time of writing is Neymar who has suffered an ankle sprain and a fissure in his fifth metatarsal and he won't play against Real. Besides that, Unai Emery will be hoping his top players remain fit. Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe should start the game.
Real Madrid have injury concerns over midfield duo Toni Kroos and Luka Modric plus full-back Marcelo. All three players could be back in time for this game but if any were missing, it would be a big blow to Zinedine Zidane.
