Let’s start with the fact that both teams have played in the main season standard two meetings in BO2 format. This means two games. Both games ended with the result 2-0. One game was won by UOL, the other by Giants. This shows that the players are more or less at the same level. UOL has a large fan base, which – as they say – helps a lot in combat, but is a hindrance sometimes. Sometimes they cannot hear what they say to each other on stage – their pseudonyms or just their name are chanted so loud.
But the problem is that Giants at the moment look like a really strong formation. They were ranked fourth in the final classification. Nobody predicted it just like no one said Origen will be threatened by relegation. The most interesting piece of information is that... UOL have a tendency to tie, while Giants are totally the other way round. If Giants don’t win 2-0, they loose with the same score. Interestingly, they either cannot handle negative emotions resulting from failure or just lack mental strength, but it all comes down to the same thing…
I would like to remind you – meetings will be played in BO5 format – so in order to win and move up, you need to win 3 out of 5 games.There is room for manoeuvre. You can stumble once or even twice and still rise and win 3-2. That’s a nice thing and definitely a breakthrough – I mean introducing this system in tournament matches of the highest stake.
OK, let’s discuss individual players, their roles from the top are: top, jungler, midlaner, ad-carry and support... In my opinion individual skills look as following:

Move ≥ Maxlore
Exileh < Night
Veritas < S0nstar
Hylissang > Hustlin
Here, I would like to distinguish SmittyJ. Currently regarded one of the best players with toplaner position in Europe. The German player, who was expelled from the team playing in the US for being “toxic”, is amazing in the game. The current meta – that is the style of the game and heroes preferred by the players – strongly favour Smitty. He has proved more than once that he is able to single-handedly manage the game.
Another person who is worth highlighting is Hylissang, a player for UOL.I know it from a proven source that he can lead the team very well if he has a hero which has a significant control of the crowd. We have seen it a few times in the last series of the crucial phase, where he could knock-up 3–4 people, which practically gives him a good chance for winning a game of two teams in the late phase of the game.
3. Giants vs UOL – Predictions and Odds – Where to bet?
Looking at single lines, the results of the teams and which game style they prefer... I think that Giants have simply become a better formation. They play as a team, but single individuals are very, very strong. You can see that training makes master, because even a person I was sceptical about – Hustlin – can manage and is improving. 3-1 for Giants is my bet.
