The Six Nations rugby championship continues on the 24th February with a crunch match between Ireland and Wales in Dublin.
The Irish have the championship in their sights and know this is their biggest test to date as they aim to win the Six Nations for the first time since 2015. England have dominated the tournament since then and Ireland know they must win this match to have any chance of stopping the English making it three in a row.
Wales make the trip to Ireland, still with a shout of winning the 2018 Six Nations, despite suffering a narrow defeat to England. Playing both England and Ireland away is a tough task but the Welsh will remain confident heading into the match. Go ahead and read our Ireland vs Wales predictions:
1. Ireland vs Scotland Rugby Odds
Home advantage can often mean a lot in the Six Nations and that immediately hands the advantage to Ireland. The Irish also have the knowledge they are still in with a good chance of winning the championship and completing a Grand Slam.
Wales have failed to defeat Ireland in their last two visits to the Aviva Stadium in the Six Nations and know they face an uphill task against the second ranked team in the competition. The bookmakers strongly fancy Ireland to win this game and they can be backed at 1.20 with Bet365.
The Welsh are out at 5.00 to win the game but they were unlucky against England at Twickenham in their previous game and will provide Ireland with their biggest test of the tournament to date.
The last time the two teams met at the Aviva Stadium for a Six Nations match the score finished level at 16-16 and while draws are uncommon in rugby, this has the makings of being a very tight game. The draw is on offer at 26.00.
2. Ireland vs Scotland Prediction
Wales are not being given much of a hope in this match with the bookmakers but if they can trouble the Irish like they did the English, who are heavy favourites to win the 2018 Six Nations, there may not be much between the teams.
3-Way handicap betting is often the best place to look in this scenario and Wales are 1.91 with +11 handicap at Bet365, meaning even if they lose the match by 10 points, it is regarded as a victory in terms of the bet and this presents good value.
If the Irish are to come out on top at the final whistle, the points margin is sure to be narrow and Ireland to win by 1 to 5 points is 6.50 with William Hill.
Both teams have two weeks for their players to recover following two matches in a row. Ireland have not ruled out Robbie Henshaw despite suffering from a shoulder injury against Italy. Jack Conan and Tadgh Furlong are also hoping to be fit.
Wales are hopeful Leigh Halfpenny, George North, Taulupe Faletau and Dan Biggar will return to the team for this match, all of whom are key players.
